The next year, Sofia Municipality is going to build residential blocks for socially handicapped and disabled people.
"For a start, we will finish the construction of three residential block of two hundred apartments each, which was started in 1989," Sofia Deputy Mayor Irina Savina said.
"Also, we will build new residential block for the poor in the Sofia districts of Lyulin, Ilinden and Sveta Troitsa," she added.
Over the next four years, the Sofia Municipality will apply to the EU for the financing of various construction projects. The finances will come from the EU structural funds. Sofia, will take counsel with the municipalities of Barcelona, Valencia, Budapest and Athens, which have already received serious financing from the EU funds.
